Hoyle & Hughes, Ramsgate - Soakaway Crates

This Hoyle & Hughes site is a development of eight high-end houses, the third site of theirs on the same strip of land, with these houses being built on the path of a disused railway line.

The site is currently in the early stages of development, where they are installing the first of two soakaways on this site and digging the footings for the properties. In the later stages of the site, there will be a further soakaway of similar size to the one installed at the moment (which is 43.125 cubic M).

Hoyle & Hughes opted for the Rainsmart Ellipse soakaway crates, with the size making them easy to move around the site and handle during installation. The soakaways were sized by the consulting engineer who would have carried out a percolation test which would have been used in conjunction with rainfall statistics for the area to ascertain the required sizes of the soakaways on the site.

Turtle Enviro catchpit chambers also sandwich each end of the soakaway in order to catch silt and debris, which will result in the efficiency of the tank being improved. 

We are also supplying drainage onto this site and have discussed other products such as utility ducting, roofline & rainwater goods and cladding. The customer was so pleased with the service provided by PBSL Group they requested an account form which has been sent to them and we envisage a mutually beneficial long standing relationship developing.
