Stopend Outlets form the connection between the gutter and the downpipe when the downpipe is positioned at the very end of the gutter run.
The pipe connection is to 100mm downpipe. We recommend that the joint should be sealed with silicon sealant, although this is not compulsory.
To prevent wind rattle in cast iron pipe connections, small timber or lead wedges should be used to centralise the joint.
Note that this fitting should only be used if the roof tiles or slates do not extend past the fascia board - if this is the case (such as at a gable end) you should use a running outlet with a small piece of gutter and an external stopend attached. This ensures that the rainwater from the end overhanging tiles is still channelled into the gutter.
