Solvent Weld Waste System

Solvent Weld Waste is the most popular choice for plumbers. Once the joints have made they cannot be undone and they will never degrade over time. Choose from White, Black, Grey and Anthracite Grey.

Manufactured to BS EN 1455-1:2000 / BS5255, and available in white, black, grey and anthracite grey.

ABS is a lightweight yet strong and cost-effective option.

MAKING A SOLVENT WELD JOINT

Use SC250 Solvent Cement, manufactured to BS6209, for making the joints. Cut the pipe squarely and clean off any swarf or dirt. Use the solvent weld liberally on both the inside of the fitting and the outside of the pipe.  Put the pipe into the fitting and give it a small twist to spread the solvent properly around the whole pipe face. The joint will be secure in a matter of minutes, although we recommend leaving 24 hours before running water through the installation.
