Electric underfloor heating loose cable kit is a system that consists of a thin and flexible cable that comes on a drum and can be laid under the floor manually. You can adjust the spacing of the cable to suit the shape and size of your floor area and connect it to a thermostat. The cable emits heat when electricity passes through it, creating a cosy and even temperature throughout the room.

Our electric underfloor heating loose cable kit is ideal for bathrooms and other irregular-shaped rooms, as you can tailor the system to your specific needs. You can also choose from different power outputs, depending on your heating needs and floor type.

Our electric underfloor heating loose cable kit works with a wide range of floor finishes, including tiles and stone, laminate, engineered wood (floated or glued), vinyl (luxury vinyl tiles), lino, carpets with underlay (max tog 2.5 combined). Please note that when laid under wood, vinyl, or carpet, the maximum kit power output is 150W and a 10mm bed of levelling compound is required.

How to Choose the Right Electric Underfloor Heating Loose Cable Kit

We offer three power outputs for our electric underfloor heating loose cable kit:

200 watts per square metre: This is the most powerful option in our electric underfloor heating loose cable kit range. This is suitable for rooms that require a high heat output, such as conservatories or areas with bi-fold doors. Kit sizes range from 0.6m2 to 18m2.
150 watts per square metre: This is suitable for most projects that require a primary heat source in well-insulated areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, or kitchens. It can be used as your main source of heat as long as you have enough insulation. Kits come in sizes from 0.75m2 to 24m2.
100 watts per square metre: Provides a cost-effective floor warming system and is used to cover larger areas. Not recommended as a primary heating source; only for use as secondary heating under tiled floors. Kit sizes vary from 1.15m2 to 36m2.

After selecting your desired power output, you can choose the coverage from 1m2 to 36m2 to fit your room size and shape. You can adjust the spacing of the cable to suit the floor area and layout and connect it to a thermostat.

Within each kit, you have the option of choosing a thermostat, including Wi-Fi, digital, or no thermostat. A thermostat is a device that controls the temperature of the system and allows you to set your preferred heating schedule and mode.
